Discovering New Space-Time Dimension…

The Bathroom.

The Bathroom represents a peculiar reality. In every house the bathroom’s coordinates localize what in my opinion constitutes a different space-time dimension. Even if I have no knowledge of physical sciences I can tell you, and I am sure many of you readers will agree with me, every bathroom has something special. The perception of time is totally, and utterly distorted. Relativity theory is finally proved everyday in our salle de bains. Once you enter your private space, time goes by without any notice. 5 minutes become 20 and so on.

Everytime we enter our Bathroom we discover a new dimension.

America doesn’t have it!

or at least is not that diffused as in Europe…

I have been here since almost two months and here is the thing, I must say, with laughter, I miss the most:

The bidet!

I know, I know, this post is hilarious, but every european reading this article is likely to have at least a hint of how I could be feeling, and really I don’t understand why here it’s not used! I find it so hygienical and useful… and most of all is something I have always been using in all of my life. So, interested by this issue, tonight I googled it! And the wikipedia page popped out by giving me precious information: definition, history, location, culture and mostly the reason why it didn’t appeal in this country! I will therefore link the page in this article, in order not to deprive you of the pleasure to discover this bathroom item by yourself. I would only add that modern bidets are built in this way… and are continuously cleaned at every usage! (tsk!)

If you don’t have it, well give it a chance!
